Programme 1: Stakeholders Platform

Outcome: Greater awareness and involvement of ECOWAS citizens in peace initiatives

Activity:

  1. Six (6) Workshops/ Seminars/ Town Hall Meetings
  2. Two (2) Eminent Persons’ advocacy visits

Programme 2: Build Awareness into ECOWAS Community-Based Events

Outcome:

Greater interest in and goodwill for ECOWAS

Activity:

  1. Awareness activities on the side of ECOWAS events (for instance: sporting events)
  2. Update the ECOWAS Website and establish links with the relevant websites

Programme 3: Branding ECOWAS

Outcome:

An improved and respectable image of ECOWAS as a Regional Economic Community (REC)

Activity:

  1. Commissioning of a Consultancy to review ECOWAS branding policy (including graphic chart)

Programme 4: Selling ECOWAS brand

Outcome:

The ECOWAS brand is widely recognized as a reference point and recurrent theme in the global arena

Activity:

  1. ECOWAS Day celebration
  2. Introduction of regional integration studies in schools curricula (2 Member States as Pilot)
  3. Inter-school competition (essay, debates), etc.

Programme 5: Documentation and Publication

Outcome:

Up-to-date and accessible information on ECOWAS

Activity:

  1. Consultancy for Annual analytical journal on Human Security and Annual Report on Conflict prevention and peace-building in West Africa
  2. Build capacity of stakeholders and citizens in accessing information (2 Workshops)

Programme 6: Partnership

Outcome:

Shared best practices and enhanced mutual capacity

Activity:

  1. Two (2) Partners coordination meetings on advocacy and communication

Programme 7: Resource Mobilisation

Outcome:

Increased funding for ECPF

Activity:

1.Fundraising from the Private Sector and Individual platforms

  1. One (1) Training for relevant stakeholders on negotiation skills and donor relations

Programme 8: ECOWAS – Civil Society Cooperation

Outcome:

Improved grassroots participation in peace initiatives

Activity:

  1. Organize annual forum of civil society institutions within ECOWAS

Programme 9: Plan of Action and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

Outcome:

Effective coordination of ECPF implementation and reporting

Activity:

  1. Mapping workshop on the logical framework (matrices) of all the ECPF components (by Political Affairs, External Relations, Strategic Planning, M&E and Finance)
  2. Capacity building on action planning and M&E activities for focal points of the ECPF components (human and technical resources)

Programme 10: Reporting

Outcome:

Effective coordination of ECPF implementation and reporting

Activity:

  1. Consultancy (independent evaluation)
